Baodingshan is the page to prioritize. The pastoral scenes carved into the rock are the surprise if you expected only Buddhas.
It is a historic site. The walking is between niches, not a trail. No hiking tag.
Getting there
About two hours from central Chongqing by bus or a booked car. It is a full day. Leave in the morning and do not pair it with a flight the same evening.
Staying nearby
Sleep in Chongqing. A night in Dazu only helps if you are seeing both hills slowly. The town is not the reason to leave the city.
