White Horse Pagoda

A modest historic stop, not a second Mogao. You go if you have an hour in town and want a courtyard. You do not fly to Dunhuang for it.

Historic, minor, and local. It is here so the town is not only a bus stop between the caves and the sand.

Twenty minutes to an hour. Then eat.

Getting there

In or near town, a short taxi from the center. Combine with the museum.

Central hotel. Nothing about this pagoda should change where you sleep.
