White Horse Temple Courtyards, a claim of great age, and a working religious place. It is a calmer hour than Longmen and a worse postcard. Go if you care about the history. Skip it if you are temple-tired.

Getting there
East of the center, a taxi or a bus. It does not combine on foot with Longmen, which is south. Give it its own ride.

Central city. The temple street is not a dining neighborhood you will miss.

How to get in Buy at the gate or the temple account. Ordinary days are simple. Cover shoulders and knees. It is in use. The Indian-style buildings added behind the old axis are a later complex. You can see the historic halls without treating every new roof as Han.
