Shantang Street

A Ming-era canal that has been thoroughly tidied for visitors. The night lights are the product. One pass is enough, and it should not replace Pingjiang.

Cultural landscapes 人文风光

Go after dark if you go. The reconstruction is obvious in daylight and kinder when it is lit.

Eat somewhere the menu is short. The first restaurant on the water is selling the reflection.

Getting there

Northwest of Pingjiang, on the way toward Tiger Hill. A taxi or a bus links them. Do not expect a countryside walk between the two streets.

Staying nearby

Sleep nearer Pingjiang or a metro stop. Shantang at night is a promenade. It is a poor place to keep a window open.
