亲子

Parks, mall playrooms, and the older child.

The big resorts, the chain playrooms inside shopping malls, and the courses that are actually for a teenager. A city page is a base. This is the day out.

The big parks

These are full-day resorts. Book the official ticket in the passport name of the person who will walk through the gate. Hours and which park is open move with the season, so the ticket page wins over this one.

广州长隆

Chimelong, Guangzhou

Panyu, south of the city center · Guangzhou guide

Several parks share one resort: Chimelong Paradise (欢乐世界), the safari, the water park, the circus, and the birds park. It is a day, and in summer a very hot one. The resort is not a metro stop beside the Pearl River.

Chimelong’s ticket FAQ lists a passport as a valid document, along with a mainland ID card, a Hong Kong or Macao travel permit, a Taiwan travel permit, and a Chinese permanent-resident card. The name and number on the ticket have to match the document in the hand. A child without a document can be booked against the accompanying adult’s document and enters with that adult.

横琴长隆

Chimelong, Hengqin

Hengqin, Zhuhai

Ocean Kingdom (海洋王国) is the aquarium and the rides. The spaceship park (飞船乐园) sits in the same Hengqin resort. This is a different city from the Guangzhou resort, across the delta. The passport rule is the group rule. Book the park named on the ticket.

清远长隆

Chimelong, Qingyuan

Qingyuan, north of Guangzhou

The forest resort, a separate trip from Panyu. Use it when the plan is already north of Guangzhou. Hours and which areas are open are on the Qingyuan page.

方特

Fantawild

A national chain. Wuhu is the original cluster.

Fantawild is Huaqiang’s own theme-park brand: science-fiction rides, stage shows, and a run of parks themed on Chinese stories, including 东方神画. Wuhu, on the Yangtze in Anhui, is the original resort and a national 5A site, with several parks on one piece of ground, among them 欢乐世界, 梦幻王国, 东方神画, and a water park.

Inside the cities this guide already covers, Xiamen’s Tong’an resort has 梦幻王国, 东方神画, and a water park, and Qingdao has 梦幻王国. The chain is much longer than those two. The official park list is the map. Book the park named on the ticket. The national line printed on the site is 400-166-0006.

上海迪士尼

Shanghai Disney Resort

Pudong, Shanghai · Shanghai guide

The resort visitors already know, and the expensive day. Tickets are real-name. Use the passport. Height limits are posted on the ride, and a summer Saturday is a queue with a castle attached. It sits in Pudong, not beside the Bund.

北京环球影城

Universal Beijing Resort

Tongzhou, Beijing · Beijing guide

A full day in Tongzhou, well east of the Forbidden City. Official ticket, passport name, and an early start. It is a different trip from Mutianyu.

欢乐谷

Happy Valley

OCT parks in several large cities · Beijing guide

OCT’s coaster parks. Beijing has a working official site. Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu, and other large cities have their own Happy Valley. Coasters for the older child, a children’s zone for the smaller one. Real-name entry is the normal gate. Use the city’s own Happy Valley site, starting from the Beijing one if you need the brand.

Inside the mall

The rainy afternoon. These are chains, so the brand is national and the room is local. Book the store in the mall you are already standing in.

奈尔宝

NEOBIO

Indoor family centers in shopping malls

NEOBIO started in Shanghai in 2017 and is the mall playroom parents mean: reading, a pretend city, a small stage, physical play, and a family restaurant, under one roof. The company lists stores in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Ningbo, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi’an, and further cities. Age, height, and whether an adult stays inside are posted at that store.

一工元 is the same company’s sports floor, built for a wider age range than the soft-play room. When a child has outgrown the ball pit, ask the mall if that store has an 一工元.

麦鲁小城

Meland

Role-play cities, often in an OCT mall

A miniature city where children take jobs: a pilot, a baker, a reporter, a dentist in a toy clinic. The original room is at Shenzhen Happy Coast. Other cities have stores. The age band is roughly the primary-school years, and the store posts the exact range.

Staff hand the child a Meland “passport.” That card is a toy for the game. It is not a travel document, and it will not get anyone through a park gate or a police check.

For the older child

A ten-year-old and a fifteen-year-old are finished with the ball pit. The useful days are a staffed rope, a climbing school, or the sports floor in the mall.

阳朔攀岩

Yangshuo climbing

The karst above the Li River · Guilin guide

This is the cliff visiting families actually climb. Schools in Yangshuo rent shoes and a harness and put a guide on the rope. Ask which crags take a beginner teenager, and whether the briefing is in English. Yangshuo is already a page in this guide. The town is the base. The cliff is a separate booking.

丛林穿越 · 拓展

Ropes courses

Scenic areas, some OCT parks, and mall sports floors

A staffed ropes course (丛林穿越) or a via ferrata posts a weight, a height, and an age at the gate. Many scenic areas sell one. A corporate 拓展 base often wants a booked group and a Chinese-speaking organizer, so ask before you cross the city with a teenager.

The walk-in version is 一工元 inside a NEOBIO store. The outdoor version is the course whose staff clip the harness. Both beat a soft-play ticket for a child who is tall enough to be bored.
